Moved to a big city
Around more people than ever before
But I feel so lost and itty bitty
Because my friends are not here anymore
We catch up once in a while
Which makes me happy to see them well
But a screen in between and many miles
Does not suffice, because I want them to ring my bell
Invite them in and have a deep talk
Share genuine laughs and stories as time would fly
I would give anything and anticipate that knock
And dread the coming goodbye
Never will I again take for granted
That trusted friend
Who in me has planted
A soulful connection that shall never end
